Washington College

Washington College is a private, independent liberal arts college located on a 112-acre (45ha) campus in Chestertown, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. Maryland granted Washington College its charter in 1782. George Washington supported the founding of the college by consenting to have the "College at Chester" named in his honor, through generous financial support, and through service on the college's Board of Visitors and Governors. Washington College is the 10th-oldest college in the United States and was the first college chartered after American independence. The school became coeducational in 1891.

Location and Facilities:

Washington College is conveniently located in the heart of many popular U.S. destinations.

Chestertown, Maryland

 Scholarships:

While Washington College does not offer full tuition scholarships, every international applicant who qualifies for admission is automatically considered for a Colin Ferguson Tuition Grant. These grants range from $10,000 to $22,000 annually and are offered on the basis of scholastic achievement. We consider academic records, the admission essay and letters of recommendation in determining whether to award a Ferguson Grant.

Assuming you receive the maximum Colin Ferguson grant of $22,000, international students admitted to Washington College will need at least $32,462 in personal or sponsored funds to meet your annual educational expenses.
